Killeen ISD Is Offering Recruitment Stipend

 The Killeen Independent School District is providing a recruiting stipend to those interested in joining its team. The recruitment stipend is being offered with the objective of minimizing vacancies throughout the district. Currently, around 274 classroom teaching vacancies are available in the school district. The school district will provide Recruitment Stipend as a one-time payment to new staff members employed on or after September 1, 2021 through May 27, 2022. Full-time qualified teachers will receive $1,000, while part-time professional staff would receive $500. New full-time hourly employees will get $500, while part-time hourly employees would receive $250. The starting pay-out of teachers (first year) is $52,000 and can go up to around $77,200 with the Teacher Incentive Allotment Program.
