 As per the new 2022-2023 compensation plan, teacher salaries start at $56,160 per year. Bilingual and special education instructors are eligible for competitive stipends of $7,500 and $5,000 per year respectively. There is an additional $2,000 new classroom teacher relocation stipend as well. Also, as per the new 2022-2023 compensation plan, all Killeen ISD employees are to receive a pay increase. The teachers at KISD can earn additional income by teaching Summer School.

Killeen ISD employees are offered week-long Spring Break, week-long Thanksgiving break, and a two-week long Christmas break. The strong growing of KISD community accommodates variety of family-friendly activities and harmonious working order.
