Killeen Independent School District is a reputed school district that offers multiple academic and extracurricular opportunities for an overall development of its students. The school district proudly serves the Killeen, Fort Hood, Harker Heights, and Nolanville communities. 


 

Student Registration for 2022-23 at Killeen ISD is now open.

The current Killeen ISD students can complete their registration for the 2022-2023 school year 

  • Log in to Home Access Center & click the Registration icon in the menu.
  • Select the Update Enrollment tab.
  • Click the Start link to the right of the Current Student Registration form name.
  • After verifying the student’s date of birth, you will be taken directly to the form.

Registration for students that are new to Killeen ISD is also open. New students can visit https://www.killeenisd.org/enroll and create account to begin the registration process.

Full-day Prek and Kindergarten Programs

To enroll a child in Killeen ISD's free full-day Prek and Kindergarten programs for the 2022-2023 school year, click https://www.killeenisd.org/enroll_ec  or visit child's home campus. Please go through the eligibility requirements for this program. Active Duty Military families living on-post, can enroll their children in the Prek-3 program.

Killeen ISD Prek and Kindergarten classrooms & proficient educators provide experiences for children to grow and develop through enriching learning activities. KISD lay a strong foundation of language development including reading, and emergent writing skills.

Killeen ISD also provides the Spanish bilingual program for Prek and Kindergarten students at five campuses throughout the district.

Advancement Via Individual Determination refers to research-based strategies and curriculum to assist the development of critical thinking, literacy, and math skills among students in elementary, secondary and higher education. AVID was established 35 years ago to train educators to adopt methodologies required for skill development of students.
