The school district offers a holistic environment for the professional development of its employees in addition to competitive compensation & employment benefits.  Compensation Plan (2022-2023) For Teachers The compensation plan for the academic year 2022-23 includes a revised salary structure for the teachers. Following are some key points of the compensation plan (2022-23): 8% pay increase for all Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraised educators A 6% increase in pay for all other district employees The starting salary for a teacher in Killeen ISD is $56,160  The compensation plan also focuses on Select Teacher Assignments and offers additional pay as per the structure mentioned below: Bilingual Classroom: $7,500 Special Education Self-contained Classroom: $5,000 High School Shortage (Math, Physics, and Chemistry): $3,
