The Killeen Independent School District is committed to providing excellent academic and athletic opportunities to students. In partnership with Special Olympics Texas, Killeen ISD is paving way for achieving greater inclusion for children with intellectual disabilities. This is attained by imparting sports training and conducting athletic competitions for Killeen ISD students with intellectual disability and/or a closely related disability with functional limitations in both general learning and adaptive skills adaptive skills. The age limits for actively enrolled Killeen ISD students to participate in Special Olympics is 8 years to 21 years. All participating students are required to submit a medical form along with all other requirements as per Special Olympics Texas (SOTX).
