The Killeen Independent School District provides Career and Technical Education program for students. Athletics Programs at Killeen ISD aims at fostering teamwork spirit, self-discipline & positive character among kids. The school campuses are equipped with wide range of athletics facilities for kids. Alan Haire joins as Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach for the new Chaparral High School Alan Haire joins the new Chaparral High School as campus athletic coordinator and head football coach. He is set to take over the Chaparral Bobcats athletics program. The Bobcats will participate in all sports wearing silver, navy blue, and cardinal red. Chaparral High School, Killeen ISD's sixth high school, is set to open this fall and compete in the new District 11-5A Division 1 football with Belton, Waco University, Elgin, Leander Rouse, Pflugerville, and Pflugerville Connally.
