Advanced Academics at Killeen Independent School District

The Advanced Academics opportunities provided by Killeen ISD are aimed at identifying and providing gifted and talented students with differentiated instruction for Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Science. The objective of Advanced Academics program is to help students attain academic success by participating in various unique programs.  Advanced Academics include the following: Advanced Placement: Advanced Placement (AP) courses prepare students for college while providing them an opportunity to earn college credit. Students are also encouraged to do college-level coursework, which may help them in qualifying for scholarships. High school students can consult their counselors for information about the AP courses offered in their school.
